  A Fantasy I Have To Protest Cart Witnessing

  i am not a protester and i hate confrontation, but i have always thought it would be hilarious to set up a kool-aid stand right next to the jw carts and sell purple kool-aid.

  i wonder how many would get the joke?.

  i was watching youtube the other day and came across " cart wars".

  i understand different people have different ways of protesting and dealing what they have been through, but this guy genuinely scares me.

  am i the only one?.

  I watched part of the silent signs one that he did where he didn't speak and just held signs up about the org. The elder called the police and tried to make out the ex jw had mental problems but the police didn't believe the elder and left. The ex jw stayed and the jws ended up leaving instead

  Hi Just to let you know you are not alone and our hearts and thoughts are with you. It's very hard to leave the religion, it took me over 2 years to pluck up the courage to do it but I'm so much happier now. I've made new friends and they all have different beliefs and don't judge each other for them. They accept you for who you are as a person not for what your religion is.

  You are an adult now and you make your own decisions, your parents don't make them for you now. They certainly can't force you to stay in the religion, they might have given birth to you but they don't own you. Do what makes you happy not what will make them happy or you'll have so many regrets. Live life to the full and enjoy making new friends and learning new things.

  As for your other post about going on a date, just be yourself, go at your own pace and if he likes and respects you then he'll accept your boundaries. If he doesn't then he's not the right person. Just relax and have fun and do an activity together that is fun and lightens the atmosphere such as bowling or archery or something. The conversation will flow naturally.

  it's that time of year again when i can get back on the fields with the metal detector looking for ancient stuff.

  the first field to be harvested was full of peas - ideal as it leaves no stubble and it's a two minute walk from my house.

  it has given up two coins in two visits this week.. the first one is a cut-half silver penny from the reign of henry ii.

  talking about sex and masturbation was probably the worst one i heard and my daughter was only 5 at the time.. what inappropriate talks or comments have you heard over the years that children should not be exposed to really?.

  Their views on oral and anal sex were ridiculous. I can t remember having to sit through a talk on those thankfully. I'd have left the room with my daughter if there'd been a talk about them

  I got a shock at an assembly when she was 9 coz she was taking notes and had written 'stay away from gay men coz they're going to die' and 'sex is bad'. She even wrote a list once of the worldly people that she knew that were going to die at Armageddon. I was horrified

  Forgiveness

  if someone does the same things over and over again and says sorry and then does it again and you point out that their apologies don't mean anything anymore, then they accuse you of not being forgiving enough, who is in the wrong?

  (i mean as in constantly over a long period of time).

  im trying to work out whether it was just part of the persons mental/ emotional manipulation tactics or whether i have the wrong view and i'm not forgiving enough.

  They expected forgiveness from me and said I wasn't being Christian when I eventually said sorry means nothing if you carry on the act. If I ever made a mistake by saying something wrong though they played hell with me for days about it until they lost interest in the situation. They literally sucked the life out of me.

  The one good thing is coz I was was drained by them mentally and emotionally it also drained me spiritually and helped me wake up from the cult so I'm grateful to them for that. I've cut the person off from my life now and I'm so happy but their words about me not being forgiving enough still linger in my head coz I certainly don't want to drag any big issues into another relationship if I meet someone.

  Maybe my jw version of my conscience being in overdrive always looking for fault with myself all the time hasn't settled completely yet. They had a great way of making you feel guilty even for the slightest thing
